It's so much harder to get into details with oil paint as compared to pencil, unless I paint with teeny tiny brushes or paint on a larger surface. At present I'm sworn off the tiny brushes, so this is a bit larger than usual, and I spent several mornings on it.
This is the oldest section of Quebec City. I first drew this scene a few weeks ago, and loved the composition so much that I had to revisit it in paint. Here is the drawing from a few weeks back (which has sold):
