Blonde d'Aquitaine Cattle

 oil on board 6.5" x 6.5"

I love painting cows. I love their bulk, their patient faces that express mild curiosity. I'm a vegetarian, and haven't eaten beef in years, but do love a good, sharp cheese (Cotswold is my favorite).

  2. Hi Taryn,
Haven't been getting your posts and just happened to come upon this wonderful piece. I live not too far from you and wondered where you saw these cows.
    Thanks!

    1. Thank you Shannon, Sue and Susan. Susan, I used a photo from the Facebook Page "Artist Reference Photos", which gives you permission to paint from any photo if you post the artwork to their page. The photo is by someone named Nutty Binder, who says-
"The three blondes! These are three of the cows in my neighbour's prize winning herd of Blonde d'Aquitaine cattle enjoying last summer's sunshine"

I love your cow paintings! Wonderful.

    2. And here I thought there might be a herd of these beauties in Montgomery County! Thank you for your kind words.
