For some reason I found this devilishly difficult to pull off but now I'm happy with it.  This is my lovely daughter, Julia.

  2. It is a beautiful painting though and the glare does not bother me too much. I love the subtle color scheme and the strong value shifts. Great form too.

  7. Very complicated subject but you've pulled it off really well. That big area of darks from the hair to the shoulder and arm works really well and the subtle half tones hold it together, the background too is spot on. you are an accomplished artist lady!

  8. Your work is fabulous, Taryn! I appreciate that you have a happy balance of simplicity of brush strokes without losing the solidity of your subjects. Your paintings tell a story with the mood they evoke. Bravo!

  9. Whoever bought "November"- that is a painting of my daughter, and I am so sad to have not won her. Would you consider selling it to me? Thank you-
