There is always a little more you could do in a portrait of someone you know...a little more to the nose, to the ear, the eyes- but I try and stop once I feel like the person is there rather than just brushstrokes.  Hmmm...maybe the lips.

  1. No, no don't touch the lips! This is great.

  2. Beautiful portrait, it doesn't need one more stroke!

  3. Waoww... as say the young ones! And your words are so interesting about presence or strokes… I sometimes think that the 'presence' is for you, and the strokes for us... So the strokes are universal, more on the art side, with or without the lips… I really do appreciate your work.

  5. I love your execution of these portraits and figures! They are very succinct but not brief, quite captivating and shows the personality well -- everything in the suggestive expressions and body languages. Amazing.
