Painting from a live model is exciting the way painting outdoors is- there is a strict time limit imposed, so you have to make clear, concise and quick decisions, focusing on what really matters.
We alternate weeks between shorter poses and one three hour pose. Here are some of the drawings and paintings I've been the most happy with, starting with a painting from last night:
