Black Clothwatercolor on paper

At our local library there is a paper displayed with rules for proper behavior. One of the rules is "no leering". This black cloth seems to be leering, or at least lurking in a rather dangerous fashion.

What an interesting painting. Your description is nice, but colors how I view the piece, now I anthropomorphize the black. Great use of watercolor.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance the piece has a playfulness to it, almost teasing. "look, these eggs are back here, this black cloth is in the foreground, like a cat that 'accidentally' walks in front of the camera when you're trying to take a picture.
